Job Description
As a pivotal member of the chassis testing team at Applus+ IDIADA, the Vehicle Dynamics Testing Engineer will primarily focus on testing of ride and handling in the proving ground, while also supporting Kinematics & Compliance (K&C) test rig activities when necessary.
Performing Technical Activities:
You will lead technical activities related to ride and handling objective testing, ensuring meticulous measurement and analysis of the vehicle dynamics performance. This encompasses:
- Supervising Test Vehicle Instrumentation: overseeing the meticulous installation of sensors and the configuration of data acquisition devices, with a keen focus on complete vehicle testing.
- Executing Objective Testing Programs: directing and overseeing test programs in accordance with project requirements, with particular emphasis on ride and handling manoeuvres.
- Executing K&C Testing Programs: directing and overseeing test programs in accordance with project requirements.
- Analyzing Test Data: conducting in-depth analysis of test data, with a specialized focus on ride and handling metrics, and presenting comprehensive reports to derive actionable project insights.
- Process development and improvement: scrutinize existing testing procedures and methodologies in order to improve efficiency and quality. Propose new ideas to expand the current services in the area of chassis testing.
Support sales process:
Collaborating closely with the Vehicle Dynamics Testing Manager, you will offer valuable support in drafting technical proposals and quotations.
