Software Engineer - Network Engineering

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Network Engineer with an exceptional understanding of networking technology to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at D. E. Shaw India, based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or Gurugram. This is a hands-on technical role within a cross-functional team that is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a secure network infrastructure. You will be responsible for projects that include researching and implementing solutions to improve and advance the firm’s network infrastructure, as well as ensuring the stability and reliability of the existing environment. This role offers the opportunity to be part of an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging team and organization. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage the firm's networking infrastructure in collaboration with other IT infrastructure teams. You will engage in engineering project work and provide tier-2/3 operational support to enhance the overall configurability, observability, supportability, and reliability of the firm's enterprise technology environment. You will also develop, support, and maintain automation to perform network-related tasks more efficiently. Additionally, you will upgrade and/or redesign existing infrastructure to improve performance and stability.
