Senior Specialist - Data Privacy - Legal and Compliance

We are looking for a Senior Specialist to join our Legal and Compliance team, based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The Legal team is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving legal issues and risks for the firm. The team handles matters relating to contract review, transactional and real estate legal support, litigation, employment, intellectual property, and data privacy. You will be required to advise and assist the firm on a wide range of data privacy, data protection, data security, and technology law matters. Your responsibilities will include assisting with drafting and reviewing policies and privacy notices, responding to data requests, conducting research, and providing advice to ensure the firm complies with applicable data privacy and technology laws and regulations. You will also be expected to conduct and review Data Protection Impact Assessments, develop and conduct data privacy training programs, and assist with the firm’s compliance with its data security practices and policies. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys in other offices of the D. E. Shaw group.
