Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
  • Build reliable, modular, and maintainable software following engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality features.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of cloud-native, microservices-based applications.
  • Optimize application performance, database queries, and API response times.
  • Contribute to code reviews and continuously improve code quality.
  • Debug production issues and participate in on-call rotations when required.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to deliver software efficiently.
  • Learn and adopt engineering best practices, including security, observability, and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar) to improve developer productivity and code quality.
  • 3–5 years of experience in backend software development.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) with the ability to write efficient, optimized code.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Good understanding of system design fundamentals and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and exposure to NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with caching technologies (Redis/Memcached) and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to learn, take ownership of assigned features, and continuously improve engineering practices.
