Job Description
ABOUT GLOMO
Glomo is the first regulated Payment Service Provider (PSP) at GIFT IFSC — India’s international financial services centre, fast becoming one of Asia’s leading global financial hubs. We build the experience enterprise customers need to manage their global operations at scale, with payments at the core. Working with 18+ global partners, we bring a truly global solution to India’s ecosystem as an enabler.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Most enterprises that could use Glomo don’t know we exist yet. That’s your job.
This is not a specialist role. You’ll do all of the marketing — online, offline, and everything between — learn what actually works for us, and help decide where to invest next.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
This is a true generalist role — online, offline, and everything between:
- Content and social. Own our LinkedIn and X presence end to end — calendar, copy, creatives, posting, replying. Write blogs, case studies, and explainers that make global payments and GIFT IFSC understandable to enterprise decision-makers.
- Campaigns. Plan and run campaigns across channels — organic social, email, paid (with agency support initially). Track what each one did, not just that it happened.
- Events and offline. Run our presence at fintech conferences, industry meetups, and partner activations — logistics, collateral, follow-up. Sometimes that means standing at a booth talking to strangers for six hours. If that sounds fun, keep reading.
- Collateral and brand. Keep decks, one-pagers, merch, and website copy sharp and consistent. Work with designers (or Canva, honestly) to get things out the door.
- Measurement. Set up and maintain basic tracking — what did a post, campaign, or event actually produce in signups or pipeline. Report it plainly, including when the answer is “nothing.”
- Compliance-aware marketing. We operate in a regulated space. Claims, numbers, and customer references in anything public go through review. You’ll learn to write things that are both compelling and true — a rarer skill than it sounds.
HOW YOU’LL OPERATE
You’ll get context, ownership, and fast feedback — not a channel-by-channel playbook. You’ll write your own briefs, ship weekly, and build the playbook as you go.
Expect to be wrong regularly and cheaply: a post that flops, an event that produces nothing. That’s fine. What’s not fine is running the same play for three months without asking whether it works.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 0–2 years of experience. Freshers with strong internships, college fest/club marketing, a personal content project, or a side hustle they actually grew are exactly who we want to hear from.
- Writes clearly. Most of marketing is writing. If your application reads well, you’re ahead of 90% of applicants.
- Comfortable across online and offline — not “I only do social” or “I only do events.”
- Numerate enough to read a dashboard and say what changed and why it matters.
- Fintech or financial services exposure (internship, coursework, content, or real interest in the space) is preferred — but not mandatory. Curiosity and speed beat domain experience at this level.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bengaluru.
WHO THIS ISN’T FOR
- Anyone who wants to specialise in one channel from day one. Come back in two years — we’ll likely have that role.
- Anyone who needs a brief handed to them for every task.
- Anyone allergic to unglamorous work. Some weeks are booth duty and spreadsheet cleanup.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
By 90 days: Our social channels post consistently and engagement is measurably up. You’ve run at least one campaign and one offline activation end to end, and you can show — with numbers — what worked and what didn’t.
By 12 months: You own the marketing calendar. You have a defensible view on which 2–3 channels Glomo should invest in, backed by a year of your own data.
COMPENSATION:
Competitive for Bengaluru fintech at this level, calibrated to your profile. We don’t lowball, and we discuss real numbers when we’ve decided we want you.
