This role is designed for a senior network engineering professional who will help build and operate highly scalable, automated, and secure network environments.
You will drive the evolution of modern network infrastructure through DevOps practices, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation.
The position focuses on creating resilient cloud, hybrid, and enterprise networking solutions that support large-scale SaaS operations.
You will collaborate with engineering, platform, security, and operations teams to improve reliability, performance, and deployment efficiency.

Accountabilities:

The Sr Network DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, automating, and continuously improving large-scale network platforms while acting as a technical authority for complex infrastructure challenges. The role requires strong collaboration across engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable networking solutions.

  • Design, engineer, and maintain highly scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated network testing, validation, and zero-downtime configuration deployments.
  • Drive Network-as-Code adoption by establishing GitOps workflows and ensuring infrastructure states, policies, and configurations are managed through source control.
  • Develop reusable automation frameworks and playbooks to reduce manual operational activities and improve network efficiency.
  • Design and optimize software-defined networking (SDN) solutions and container networking environments across cloud and bare-metal infrastructures.
  • Act as a senior technical expert for complex routing, networking, and overlay infrastructure issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Build telemetry, monitoring, and automated remediation capabilities to improve network visibility, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with platform, SRE, security, and architecture teams to implement resilient, multi-tenant, and highly available network solutions.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Python, and Bash.
  • Implement and optimize networking technologies including VXLAN, OVN, Project Calico, Kubernetes networking, and cloud-native connectivity solutions.
  • Automate security and traffic management policies across enterprise firewalls, load balancers, and application delivery platforms.
  • Develop automated validation processes for routing, access controls, and network health monitoring.
  • Promote technical excellence through documentation, mentoring, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is a senior network engineering professional with extensive experience in automation, DevOps methodologies, and large-scale infrastructure environments. You should have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to lead complex engineering initiatives.

    • 8+ years of experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related infrastructure roles with a focus on large-scale environments.
    • Expert knowledge of network automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and network automation libraries such as Netmiko, Nornir, or NAPALM.
    • Strong experience designing and operating software-defined networks, overlays, and enterprise networking architectures.
    • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes networking, CNIs, ingress controllers, service mesh concepts, and container networking.
    • Extensive experience with enterprise networking technologies including Cisco Nexus, Arista, Versa SD-WAN, Palo Alto, and Fortinet platforms.
    • Strong understanding of API-driven application delivery solutions, load balancing technologies, and cloud networking integrations.
    • Deep Linux networking expertise, including namespaces, virtual interfaces, eBPF, iptables, and kernel-level routing concepts.
    • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and EVPN.
    • Experience designing and scaling CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions for infrastructure delivery.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills using packet analysis tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark, along with monitoring and logging platforms.
    • Proven experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving cross-functional initiatives.
    • Familiarity with telecommunications technologies such as VoIP, RTP, SIP, and Session Border Controllers is a plus.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
